I was fortunate to be featured in the 1 million women in STEM campaign! This is a global campaign for 1 million stories from women working in all areas of STEM. Their site features women from all walks of life, from students to engineers, technicians to academics. Their aim is to showcase female talent in STEM, and close the equality gap. They also share numerous blog posts!
It is so important to show off women in STEM, to provide role models for the future generation of girls wanting to pursue a career in STEM but think that it isn't a girls job, and to show that progress is happening. A woman can be anything she wants to be, but change needs to happen to make opportunities equal, and long lasting.
